[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]In the architectural competition for the development of a hotel and SPA center announced by “SPA Vilnius Anykščiai”, the winner was selected as work no. 715612, which was created by a team of architects – Povilas Čepaitis, Mindaugas Šutėnas and Berta Meironaitė. A total of three architectural ideas were submitted to the competition, which were evaluated by a competent committee..

According to the commission, the winners’ work was characterized by logical and optimal functional solutions – endless corridors were avoided, the SPA and restaurant are easily accessible, and the location of the conference center was chosen as the most successful of all the proposed ideas.

It was also appreciated that the building complex takes up little space on the plot, leaving room for another phase of development. The commission noted that the architects did a very good job of dividing the hotel part into separate, small volumes and integrating the SPA part on the first floor under the living rooms. In addition, the architects perfectly solved the reception area, very successfully combining all four functions of the complex (SPA, hotel, conference center and restaurant).

“Aketuri architektai” and “Design-Cell Architecture” also participated in the competition. The competition entries can be viewed here. here.

We remind you that the aim of the competition was to find the best architectural solution and the most suitable location on the site for the expanded hotel and SPA. The building will have to comply with the regulations applicable to the site and blend in with the existing environment and the landscape of the Anykščiai grove.

The competition was organized by UAB “Eika”, it was held in accordance with the procedure for organizing architectural competitions, provided for in the Regulations on the Organization of Architectural Competitions of the Lithuanian Union of Architects (approved by the decision of the Council of the Lithuanian Union of Architects on 20-02-2019), and in the Temporary Regulations on the Organization of Architectural Competitions of the Lithuanian Chamber of Architects (approved by the Lithuanian Chamber of Architects on 13-04-2018, No. T18/01).
