During the public procurement tender, UAB EIKA Construction (formerly UAB Eikos statyba) was selected as the contractor for the new passenger departure terminal. The company will perform general contracting works worth EUR 41.5 million. The new terminal will be built between the VIP terminal with the conference center and the old passenger terminal.
The planned two-storey, 14.4 thousand sq. m. building will become a significant stage in the development of Vilnius Airport. It will allow doubling passenger throughput – from 1200 to 2400 people per hour. The building will be equipped with modern check-in and baggage claim systems, passenger waiting areas, cafes and airline offices.
The project is considered one of the most important examples of public building construction in the capital. The implementation of the works includes sustainable solutions and modern technologies that meet the highest standards of quality and energy efficiency.
