The 6,300 sq. m. shopping center PUPA, which opened its doors in the Pilaitė district in 2008, is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. The shopping center “Pupa” is the first wide-spectrum shopping center in this microdistrict, currently offering all daily services to Pilaitė residents under one roof..
The shopping center “Pupa” currently has 34 tenants (excluding island and outdoor tenants), 22 of whom have been operating in the center for more than five years, and 19 of whom have been operating since its opening. According to Giedrius Brūzgė, Director of the EIKA Property Management Department, such a low rotation rate reveals that companies value the Pilaitė microdistrict and its growing potential. “As the center manager, our main concern is to ensure that the changing needs and habits of residents are met as best as possible. Therefore, rotation is a very healthy process in order to maintain the shopping center as a center of attraction. In December, we will invite Pilaitė residents to the stores opened by new tenants – “Vynoteka” and PEPCO in “Pupa”, – G. Brūzgė presents the news.
PEPCO will be located on the second floor of the shopping center, occupying almost 600 sq. m. of area. “In December, we plan to open the 16th PEPCO store in Lithuania and the 4th in Vilnius. The Pilaitė district was not chosen by chance. In recent years, this is a part of the capital that has been expanding rapidly, attracting more and more permanent residents. Trade potential is important to us. We believe that the PEPCO store that will open its doors in the Pupa shopping center will become a convenient shopping place for our customers,” says Aleksandr Čikaidze, PEPCO’s head of operations for the Baltic countries. PEPCO is a popular European retail chain, currently having more than 1,500 stores in the Czech Republic, Croatia, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Romania, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. More than 12 million customers visit PEPCO stores in Europe per month.
The shopping center is home to such brands as: the sports club “Goodlife”, the children’s playroom “Minimukų namukai”, the school goods store “Eripo”, the pet chain store “Pet24”, the fast food restaurants “Express Pizza” and “Asia Express”, the cosmetics store “Eurokos”, the VAGA bookstore and others.
In addition to the PUPA shopping center, the Eika real estate development and construction group has built the Aušros shopping center in Utena, the Ikiukas shopping center in Santariškės settlement, the IKI shopping center in Visoriai, and the specialized Berry furniture store in Klaipėda.
