“Santariškės namai” awarded for sustainable environment

“Santariškių namai” became the winner of the “Sustainable Environment” competition in 2013.

“Santariškių namai” became the winner of the “Sustainable Environment” competition 2013. The project was recognized as the best in the category of residential blocks, groups of houses, and individual house courtyards.

The project was awarded for its well-maintained and carefully arranged environment. The courtyards of the houses located in the Santariškės settlement are full of greenery: rockeries have been installed, perennial flowering shrubs and fruit trees have been planted, and flower beds have been planted. The inner courtyards also have children’s playgrounds and benches for relaxation.

“The Verkiai Park neighborhood, where the “Santariškių namai” settlement is located, obliges us to take care of the environment. The Santariškių settlers, who willingly tidy up their yards and cultivate flower beds, also commit to loving and caring for the environment,” says Valdas Kaulinis, director of “Santariškių namai”.

The development of the Santariškės settlement in Vilnius was developed by UAB Vavista, and the landscaping of the territory was carried out by UAB Stebulė. The project was prepared by architect Vytenis Gerliakas and UAB Eventus pro.

The competition was organized by the Lithuanian Real Estate Development Association and the Academy of Sustainable Development and partners – GRYNAS.LT, the Lithuanian Association of Municipalities, the Lithuanian Union of Architects and the Lithuanian Union of Landscape Architects.
