Construction and sales of residential and commercial premises are starting in the project “Vytauto 35” developed by EIKA on Vytauto Street. This is an administrative building of exceptional architecture, the modern forms of which will harmoniously merge into a single whole, reminiscent of the network of Žvėrynas streets and the stylized “Gediminas Columns”. The architects of the building are the “Cloud” team. It is planned to build almost 1800 sq. m. of area, and investments will exceed 4 million EUR.
According to Martynas Žibūda, Head of EIKA Development, Žvėrynas – one of the oldest and most prestigious districts of Vilnius – retains its attractiveness even today. “Although new buildings are emerging around the Neris River, there are currently almost no new residential and commercial premises for purchase in the heart of Žvėrynas. Therefore, as soon as we talked about the development plans for the project, we received a lot of interest. We believe that this will be an expressive building, but in harmony with the environment, in which it will be good to both work and live,” says M. Žibūda about the project.
The project architect Jovilė Porvaneckaitė appreciates the involvement of the Žvėrynas community: “We are grateful to the Žvėrynas community for the ideas they expressed, which adjusted the volume of the building in a positive direction. We aimed for the building we designed to blend into the general context of Žvėrynas and not become another symbol of the architect’s self-expression in the historical environment. We wanted the nearby 21st century buildings, just like those from other periods, to have a dialogue with each other, an architectural expression characteristic of this era.”
In the project “Vytauto 35” it is possible to purchase spaces for living and business: 10 spacious apartments and 19 compact commercial premises for trade and offices. The layouts of the spaces are very different: on the lower floors, the apartments and premises are of a small area with terraces, and on the upper floors – large and spacious, up to 5.5 m high with mezzanines. The building will open its doors in the spring of 2019.
Although the building is located right next to the hustle and bustle of the city, it is surrounded by a harmonious environment that everyone can adapt to their own needs: green areas, the nearby Neris River. Children’s playgrounds and adult sports fields will be installed in the courtyard of “Vytauto 35”.
