On March 14, the most advanced students of the Faculty of Civil Engineering of Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VGTU) were awarded personalized scholarships from the real estate development company Eika.
Seven students of the Faculty of Civil Engineering were awarded scholarships – Gvidas Vileišis, Vilius Lukošius, Darius Zakševski, Enrika Liukpetrytė, Karolis Jatulis, Giedrius Videika and Justas Šlaitas.
“By initiating the scholarship program for the seventh year, we hope to motivate specialists to improve their skills, accumulate knowledge and become professionals with the highest competences. Since we aim to discover both young, inexperienced and experienced, capable and talented students of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, we are distributing a financial incentive worth EUR 2,600 to bachelors, masters and doctoral students,” says Domas Dargis, head of Eika.
The main criterion for receiving a scholarship is academic excellence. Scholarship recipients are determined after the examination session, and their award is confirmed by a protocol.
Scholarships for students, with more than 14 thousand EUR distributed over six years, are one of the measures of the talent development strategy. Over the past 6 years, 36 students have received scholarships. Eika Academy has been operating since 2012.
