Eika won first place in the residential construction category at the Baltic Real Estate Awards

The project “Santariškių namai” by UAB “Eika” became the winner at the Baltic Real Estate Awards held at the “Baltic Real Estate and Investment Forum”. The project was recognized as the best in the residential construction category with the low-rise settlement of Phase III apartments “Gilė”.

 

This year, on May 21-22, the real estate market participants met at the “Baltic Real Estate and Investment Forum” in Vilnius. The forum, which was organized for the fifth consecutive year, hosted the Baltic Real Estate Awards for the first time – a competition for projects or major project stages in the Baltic region completed in 2014. “The projects implemented in the Baltic States presented in the competition were evaluated based on several main criteria,” says Algirdas Vaitiekūnas, a member of the competition jury and Chairman of the Board of the real estate association “RICS Baltic”. According to A. Vaitiekūnas, the architecture of the buildings (interface with the surrounding environment), residential area, noise level of the settlement, distance to parks and green spaces were evaluated. The energy-saving solutions used were taken into account. Public infrastructure, terraces and balconies, and parking lots were highlighted as important factors. The experience and reliability of the organization developing the project also influenced the evaluation.

 

Based on the established criteria, 15 projects in the Baltic States were selected in the residential, shopping center and office categories. The winner of the best residential project in the Baltic States was the project “Santariškių namai” by the company “Eika”. Also, the best project in the shopping center category was recognized as the project of the company “Linstow” in Tallinn – “Ülemiste”, and the best office project in the Baltic States was the “Capital Mill” business center “Navigator” in Tallinn.
