A team of Lithuanian students from the Robotics School tackled the problem of ocean pollution at the international FIRST Global Games in Dubai in the last days of October.
The robots were designed to demonstrate the ability to collect two different sized balls — prototypes of marine litter — and place them at 3 different height levels, each symbolizing different ocean cleanup situations.
Ugnius, Tomas, Rytis, Tautvydas, Lukas, Šarūnas and Karolis overcame more challenges when their robot went missing during a flight and was later identified by customs as a military drone.
