In September on St. Stephen’s Street “In the coliving opened by the Eika group “The entire commercial space of SOLO SOCIETY City House Vilnius, 245 sq. meters, has been leased. A pilates studio has already opened its doors here, and a cocktail bar, a wine shop-educational space, and a café are opening in December..
While the station area is still waiting for the start of ambitious station renovation works, individual areas of this area are already starting to revive. Such a transformation of the area located very close to the station, between Šv. Stepona, Paneriai and Punsko streets, was successfully implemented by the “Eika” group, which built a new residential apartment building “Šv. Stepono Baltas lapas” and a coliving house (in English – coliving) “SOLO SOCIETY City House Vilnius”. It is on the first floor of the coliving along Paneriai street that commercial premises are planned, which have successfully attracted new businesses and which will undoubtedly add additional value to both the residents of the coliving and the surrounding houses and give new life to this previously untapped potential area.
According to Martynas Žibūda, Deputy General Director of Eika, the main goal in building the complex, which consists of a residential apartment building and a shared living house, was to revitalize and utilize this potential area of the station district and to meet the needs of the people who live and will live here. “We knew that young, cosmopolitan people, as well as those coming to Lithuania to work or study, would study and stay in both the residential project and the coliving, so it was important for us to offer services that would create added value for both them and those living in the neighborhood. I believe that we have succeeded in implementing this goal and the newly launched businesses will successfully integrate and complement the everyday lives of all those living here.”
Those who want to maintain good physical shape and well-being have been invited to their training sessions by the “Honey” Pilates studio located here for some time. “We chose Naujamiestis for our activities not by chance – historically, “Honey” started in the neighborhood of Kauno St. It is encouraging that the previously skeptical approach to the Station/Naujamiestis is changing its face: more and more services are appearing here, young families are creating life, etc. And this part of Šv.Stepona/Panerių/Punskos streets, where we settled, has generally blossomed with new colors. The impeccably arranged environment and new neighborhood delight not only the old-timers of Naujamiestis, but also guests of the area,” says Greta Jonaitytė-Beliukevičė, the founder of “Honey”. In the modern design studio, you can choose from private or small group Pilates training sessions. Each client receives individual attention and training is led by the studio’s founder, a licensed Pilates trainer, and guest trainers.
The largest area of the premises will be occupied by a well-known name among Vilnius cocktail bars – “Nick&Nora”, having successfully established their first bar on Stiklių Street, in December they will open their space here under the name “Grand Central by Nick & Nora”. As the founders themselves say – this will be a place where New York meets Vilnius. For fun gatherings, food and drinks with a Lithuanian and American flavor. Located in the vibrant Naujamiestis district, in the new “Solo City House Vilnius” co-living, “Grand Central” will become a great place to meet not only for locals, but also for travelers who want to get to know the undiscovered corners of our capital.
Naked Noah, a natural wine shop/tasting and educational space, will soon invite you on a journey of discovery of natural wines. This project is designed to introduce the culture of natural wine in the Baltic States. “Our goal is to promote sustainable and natural choices, it is an invitation to discover the world of natural wine directly from the hands of the winemaker, to share experiences, tastes and aromas. Wine is not only a drink, but also a story created by a community of small but exceptional grape growers with love and respect for nature,” says Jūratė Plungytė, founder of Naked Noah.
The new place to drink coffee, meet friends or celebrate important occasions will be the café “Špricas”. “This is a place where leisure and work meet. This is a space where you can not only drink coffee and eat a healthier breakfast during the day, but also come with colleagues or friends and celebrate victories by choosing one of the many variations of “špricas”,” says founder Haroldas Plungys about the concept of the new place. The official opening of the café is scheduled for January.
