The multi-apartment housing estate “EIKA namai Pilaitė” that has been under development since 2007 is moving to the other side of Pilaitės avenue and continuing the project on Karaliaučiaus street. By 2021, a block of eleven houses will be built on a 2.6-hectare plot, in which it is planned to invest more than 32 million euros..
“In 2016, as in previous years, “EIKA namai Pilaitė” was our most popular project, with 169 new-build apartments sold, therefore, sensing the needs of new home buyers, we continue to develop the Pilaitė microdistrict. More than 1,000 families living in the Mažvydas quarter have already appreciated the comfortable neighborhood and extremely low heating bills. In the Karaliaučius quarter, we will continue to apply the proven three-layer prefabricated reinforced concrete construction technology, which ensures excellent heat and sound insulation, and at the same time extremely low heating costs for residents,” says Martynas Žibūda, Development Director of “Eika”.
The construction of the first nine-story apartment building is currently underway, which features 1-3-room apartments with balconies or terraces. “There are several innovations that we will implement when developing the Karaliaučius settlement, one of which is extremely bright housing due to the planned additional number of windows. At the same time, this will give residents the opportunity to separate spaces in the apartment, for example, the kitchen area. Residents who will settle on the first floor will be provided with additional comfort by heated floors. Thinking through everything to the smallest detail, we aim to create the most comfortable, warm and bright housing.” – says M. Žibūda.
It is planned that during the entire project management period, the Karaliaučius Quarter will add 632 apartments to the new apartment market. The first residents of the Karaliaučius Quarter will move into their new homes at the beginning of 2018.
