One of the largest real estate development companies in Lithuania, EIKA Group, is expanding its support for children and youth employment and becoming an official sponsor of the Vilnius Rytas youth system. This partnership unites two Vilnius-based organizations with a common goal – to develop an ambitious, successful and internationally renowned young generation of Vilnius.
The new cooperation is focused on the long-term perspective and strengthening young talents. EIKA Group becomes a partner contributing to the participation of Rytas youth teams in the highest level international tournaments.
“Youth is our future, so it is important for us to contribute to the Vilnius basketball team and the young players growing in it. In sports, they develop discipline, responsibility and teamwork skills – values that become a solid foundation for their future lives. Basketball in Lithuania brings people together and strengthens the community, and the capital’s team is an important part of Vilnius’ identity. By supporting it, we invest not only in sporting achievements, but also in strengthening the city’s community and the opportunities for young people to grow and achieve their goals,” says Domas Dargis, CEO of EIKA Group.
During the partnership, the name of EIKA Group will be directly associated with the most important youth starts. Already this spring, the youth of Vilnius “Rytas” will participate in prestigious tournaments with the support of the sponsor: the U-16 team will debut in the European elite tournament “MAD CUP” in Madrid (March 26-29), and the U-18 team will defend the championship title in the FIBA Champions League (BCL Youth) tournament (April).
Jaroslav Latušinskij, Executive Director of Vilnius Rytas, emphasizes that a strong business backing is critically important in order to maintain the highest level of the youth program.
“We are pleased that such a dynamic and innovative organization as EIKA Group is joining the Rytas family. Our youth system is one of the best not only in Lithuania, but also valued throughout Europe – this is proven by invitations to elite tournaments and titles won. However, in order to compete with the best European clubs, we need partners who understand the importance of investing in youth. This partnership will allow us to ensure the best conditions for talents to grow and continue to make Vilnius famous,” says J. Latušinskij.
