EIKA Group employees planted trees in Pašilaičiai: we want to contribute to creating a more beautiful environment in Vilnius

On October 4, employees of the real estate development group of companies “EIKA” gathered in Vilnius, Pašilaičiai, for a tree-planting event, where they planted 130 trees. Such tree-planting events are a tradition of the company, in which they not only strengthen mutual relations, but also beautify the environment.

Through the efforts of EIKA and its employees, about 200 oak trees were planted in Pilaitė during previous outreaches, and about 40 more of these trees were planted by the team members in places of their own choosing. This time, pine trees, birch trees, and hornbeam trees were planted.

“In the projects we implement ourselves, we always pay a lot of attention to the green environment – this can be seen best in the Karaliaučius project in Pilaitė, where a private park has been established, and in the “Namų pynės” project in Žirmūnai, the already grown greenery looks impressive. In all our projects, we pay even more attention to the environment than the regulations require, because we understand how important it is for well-being. However, with these donations, we also go beyond the boundaries of our projects – we want to contribute to the creation of a more beautiful environment in Vilnius,” says Tomas Žiaugra, Director of the Development Department at EIKA Development.

“When developing new projects, sometimes we have to remove several trees or bushes that cannot be saved, but we compensate for this by planting more than 100 new trees every year,” says T. Žiaugra.

A representative of EIKA Development said that team members are always very willing to contribute to this campaign: “This is a very simple and effective way to feel that we are contributing with our own hands to creating a greener, healthier, more beautiful environment in which we ourselves live.”

“We thank the employees of UAB “EIKA” who chose to implement the green initiative in Pašilaičiai. We are pleased that the planted trees will create a pleasant and cozy environment for residents,” says Ramunė Poliakovienė, the elder of Pašilaičiai.
