Thirteen employees of the real estate development company “Eika” registered to try their hand at the national dictation, which has been held in Lithuania for the third year. This is the first Lithuanian business company to participate in the national dictation. The oldest member of the volunteer team is 59 years old, and the youngest is twenty-one.

“Literacy level is part of personality, a characteristic that defines a person. I am glad that we have a great opportunity to both test our strength and remember our school days,” explained Martynas Žibūda, head of the company’s commercial premises department, explaining his determination to participate in the dictation.

Twelve of the company’s employees will write the dictation in Vilnius Municipality, and one in Druskininkai Municipality. This initiative is expected to encourage more business representatives to join the language competition and at least partially contribute to the popularization of Lithuanian language culture and other humanities disciplines.

Currently, 90 people work at the company “Eika”. The Eika group of companies includes UAB “Eika”, UAB “Eikos statyba” and UAB “Inžinerinės idėjos”.
