Taurus Mountain
The Tauro Hill redevelopment project included the renewal of the public space, preserving the historically formed relief and adapting the area for active and quiet recreation. Work began with the dismantling of the old stairs, as their construction did not meet safe restoration requirements. The stairs were rebuilt, installing 2,050 new steps manufactured at a specialized factory in Ukraine.
During the site works the natural landscape with existing embankments and depressions was preserved, without changing the overall hill structure. Approximately 7,000 sq. m of paths were renovated and constructed, and soft, accent lighting was installed. The project created an amphitheater with a stage, and three playgrounds were built, two of which are the largest in the Baltic states. The total area of the renovated site amounts to 9 hectares.
