Eika Asset Management became a shareholder of the Vilnius Jesuit High School Foundation and contributed to the strengthening of intangible capital

Investment management company Eika Asset Management (EAM) joined the shareholders of the Vilnius Jesuit Gymnasium Foundation and provided support for the intangible capital of the foundation. The EAM Foundation will be represented by Indrė Dargytė.

The decision to join the EAM fund is based on the belief that the most important long-term investment is an investment in a person. The company believes that the future of the state is created not only by infrastructure, technology or business, but primarily by educated, responsible, curious and proactive people.

The mission of the Vilnius Jesuit Gymnasium Foundation is to create more opportunities for students to achieve the highest results, to strengthen the competences of teachers and to create a long-term financial basis for the initiatives of the gymnasium community.

An investment whose return is measured not in percentages, but in decades

According to Andriaus Uždavinis, head of EAM, the investment management company makes decisions every day with the aim of creating long-term value for investors. The same principles apply to education.

“There are investments whose return can be measured in percentages. And there are investments whose impact is measured in decades. Therefore, it made a lot of sense for us to join the Vilnius Jesuit Gymnasium Foundation. We believe that investments in student education, teacher growth and financial literacy are among the most meaningful investments we can make today,” says A. Uždavinys.

According to him, EAM is particularly close to the foundation’s mission to develop not only academic knowledge, but also responsibility and the ability to make long-term decisions.

“Financial literacy today is becoming an ability no less important than mathematics or languages. The earlier a young person understands the value of money, investment principles, responsibility for his financial decisions and the importance of long-term planning, the more opportunities he has to create value for himself, his family and society in the future,” notes the head of EAM.

The strength of the foundation is the students themselves

EAM’s decision to join the foundation was strengthened by the unique activity model of the Vilnius Jesuit High School Foundation – its initiators and active creators are the students themselves.

“We were most inspired by the fact that the driving force of the foundation is the students themselves. They are not just recipients of support – they actively contribute to the foundation’s activities, shape its direction, learn leadership, responsibility and community spirit. Such experiences develop people who in the future create businesses, organizations and a strong society”, says A. Oždavinys.

According to him, this is a great example of how initiative, patience and consistent work can create value for future generations.

Long-term partnership for the future of Lithuania

EAM hopes that the foundation of the Vilnius Jesuit High School will continue to grow, gathering alumni, parents, the business community and everyone who cares about the future of Lithuanian education.

The company is convinced that investments in education, competences of young people and financial literacy are one of the most important factors of long-term state progress. As with investment management, the greatest value is created when decisions are made with an eye not for today, but for decades to come.
