Another Eika apartment building in Pilaitė recognized as suitable for use

 

The 9-storey, 71-apartment apartment building was started to be built in the spring of last year. Currently, more than 70 percent of the apartments in the building have been sold, 2-room apartments remain unsold. The most popular in this building were the larger 3-room and 1-room, studio-type, 28-31 m² area apartments.

 

In 2011, the project was recognized as the best residential project in Lithuania in the competition “For Sustainable Development 2011”. “Eikos namai Pilaitė” won the award for the advanced technologies used in the construction, which allowed to offer the settlers high-quality and economical, but at the same time inexpensive housing. The economy of these houses was also confirmed by the first heating season, during which the average heating cost, maintaining the room at 20-21 ^ohC temperature, ranged from 1 – 2.5 lt/m² per month.

 

Currently, next to the already built apartment building, a 7-storey building is being completed, where new residents are expected this autumn. About 40 percent of the apartments in the building have already been purchased. In the near future, construction will begin on another 9-storey apartment building, where “Eika” will offer buyers 1-3-room apartments with balconies of various layouts. “Eika” is also building a multi-storey 550-space parking lot in Pilaitė, which will be built in two stages. The prices of new apartments in the houses built by “Eika” in Pilaitė range from 3,500 litas to 4,500 litas per square meter.

 

In 2012, Eika plans to invest more than 10 million litas in the development of new houses in Pilaitė. By 2015, Eika plans to continue construction in Pilaitė and build about 250 new apartments, a shopping center and a multi-storey car park. Eika has already built 9 apartment buildings and the Pupa shopping center in Pilaitė. More than 520 families have settled in these houses.
