On Tuesday, a real estate agency opened its doors in Visoriai, located in the northern part of Vilnius.The new IKI shopping center was built by the Latvian company Eika. Thanks to the precise construction schedule and precise management, the spacious and modern building was opened a month earlier than planned.
The new IKI shopping center is one of the first shopping centers in the Visoriai microdistrict, which is rapidly expanding and attracting more and more settlers. The total area of the new shopping center is 2.5 thousand square meters. The total investment of the Eika group and the IKI network in the new shopping center amounted to 3.7 million euros.
“Currently, the Visoriai district with a new residential quarter is becoming an ideal place to live for those who value peace and quiet, but do not want to move too far from the city center. This district of the capital is receiving more and more attention from real estate developers and investors. For this reason, it is important to strengthen and improve the infrastructure of the district, which was considered industrial until recently,” says Giedrius Brūzgė, Acting Director of the Asset Management Department at Eika.
The company “Eika” began construction of a new modern shopping center in May, and at the beginning of December, the fully equipped building was handed over to the customers.
“Every time we open a new store, we strive to ensure that customers can shop comfortably, have the opportunity to choose from a wide range of products, and offer many fresh products. By expanding the geography of stores, we strive to make them modern, contemporary, and meet the needs of customers as best as possible. We invest not only in the stores themselves, but also maintain the environment and install convenient parking lots. This shopping center perfectly demonstrates that the company strives for a harmonious and sustainable environment and strives to make the community feel comfortable,” says Berta Čaikauskaitė, Head of Public Relations at IKI.
The largest area in the new shopping center will be occupied by the IKI retail chain store, equipped with a modern design, the latest retail equipment, and able to offer a wide range of products.
Smaller areas will house specialized stores, a pharmacy, and a café. An 80-space parking lot will be installed next to the new shopping center for the convenience of shoppers.
The new shopping center is not the first result of cooperation between the company “Eika” and the company “Palink”, which manages the IKI retail chain. In 2007, an IKI store was built in the Santariškės district, and later – the shopping center “Pupa” in Pilaitė, where the IKI store is located.
In addition to the aforementioned stores, Eika has built shopping centers “Norfa” in Pilaitė, “Berry” in Klaipėda, and “Aušra” in Utena.
