A contract has been signed with the architect EIKA for the business center project on Lvovo Street.

UAB “Verslo investicijos” and UAB “Architektūros kūrybinė grupė” have signed a design agreement for the future administrative building at Lvovo st. 21 A. UAB “Architektūros kūrybinė grupė” (AKG) is the winner of the announced international architectural competition.

The business center project managed by EIKA is a 15-20-story building, which includes public meeting spaces, catering, recreation and wellness areas, a rooftop terrace for employees, bicycle and scooter storage with the necessary infrastructure. Floor areas vary from 500 to 900 sq. m., which will be easily divided into offices of different sizes.

According to EIKA CEO Domas Dargis, constructive and flexible work in coordinating the design proposal with the winner of the competition led to the signing of the contract. “Continuing our work with the team of architect Remigijus Bimba, we will create a new urban space for the city, which will harmoniously blend into the city panorama, and the functionality and flexibility of the interior spaces will meet the needs of various businesses or activities. The biggest advantage is the location of the project and the project’s integration into the general business environment. With this project, we want to promote wellness by installing certain recreation areas and emphasizing movement and health in the project. We will design and build the project using BREEAM recommendations and aim to obtain an Excellent rating,” says EIKA CEO Domas Dargis.

According to Remigijus Bimba, head of the “Architecture Creative Group”, the project is interesting in that it completes the hill’s eastern side, as seen from the city centre, on the urban hill of high-rise buildings that has begun to be formed in Vilnius, on the right bank of the Neris River. “It will be visible from many panoramic points of Vilnius. Its visibility from many places and its proximity to the Church of St. Raphael and the monastery buildings oblige us to create a building of subtle, unobtrusive forms. The building’s plan and volume composition is created from two vertical parts, which are “pushed” relative to each other and oriented with their narrow sides to the south, to the left bank of the river and the city centre. The simplicity of the building’s forms, the graphics of the facades and the colour scheme will not dissonant, but will complement the urban hill composition on the right bank of the river. Vertical lines will dominate the division of the facades, emphasizing the slenderness and lightness of the volume. “The neutral-colored glass with a slight reflection will reflect the environment and harmonize with the existing buildings,” R. Bimba comments on the architectural solutions of the building.

The project architects are Remigijus Bimba, Giedrė Barzdžiukaitė and Raimondas Gudauskas from AKG.

After signing the contract, the project proposal will be further improved, and solutions will be coordinated with the Vilnius City Municipality, other responsible institutions and interested groups. In the first quarter of 2020, the project will be submitted for public consideration. Construction is planned to begin in the third quarter of 2020, and the entire project is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2022.

Project development client UAB “Verslo investicijos” commissioned the project to be managed by UAB EIKA.
