The ranks of tenants are rapidly filling up in the business center “Jasinskio2”, which will open its doors this year and is managed by “EIKA Development”. It is announced that a new restaurant will open here in the fall, offering Vilnius residents a unique concept space with Lithuanian cuisine in the style of a British “pub”. The restaurant will occupy 370.26 sq. m of premises on the first floor of the business center and will have 100 seats.
Traditional food in an unconventional format
Aušrimas Žlabys, who spent 17 years in the United Kingdom and had his own catering business in London, decided to return to Lithuania after a successful experience abroad. In five years, the entrepreneur has already opened four catering establishments, and in the fall he will launch a new concept restaurant inspired by the British restaurant tradition in the Jasinskio2 business center.
“Very popular in England” pubs or “public house” culture – places where very different people meet to have dinner, talk or just spend time: office workers, tourists and locals out walking their dogs. There is a great lack of such places in Lithuania, so our goal is to gradually bring this culture to Vilnius, adapting it to our taste palette and lifestyle. However, this will not be a place for quick service or just traditional dishes – we aim to create a high-quality, cozy and modern restaurant, where the British style will gain a Lithuanian twist,” reveals A. Žlabys.
He adds that great attention will also be paid to the restaurant’s interior – an aesthetic, modern and cozy space. The restaurant will serve business lunches, and there will be separate spaces for private business or personal dinners. At the same time, the food will be recognizable, warm, and satisfying – what is called “comfort food” in many countries.
“We will present our entire menu with a Lithuanian twist: instead of British sausages, we will offer game sausages with mashed potatoes, instead of beef and beer stew, we will offer our own befstrogen. In addition to these dishes, we will also have a modern interpretation of potato pancakes, a fried rabbit or a snack of kastinis. Of course, the menu will be supplemented with other recognizable dishes of European cuisine,” says A. Žlabys.
The businessman says that he decided to open the new restaurant in the Jasinskio2 business center because of the good location, but emphasizes that a good location alone will not be enough for success – in order to attract customers, targeted and hard work and an attractive concept are required.
“Jasinskio2″ is in a great location: on the way to the central part of the city. Both working and living in this part of the city, there is a need for such a simple, non-binding restaurant. When choosing a location, I also communicated with suppliers, who blessed my decision. But a good location alone is not enough, because everything has to work: to hit the right direction and work a lot and hard. I believe that people will like our concept, because the essence of the future restaurant is to connect different people. On weekdays, we will focus on business clients and Vilnius residents working nearby, and on weekends we will pay special attention to families,” says the owner of the future restaurant.
Value for businesses, Vilnius residents and city guests
A. Žlabis’ restaurant will be located in the A++ energy class business center “Jasinskio2”. The six-story building, which will open its doors in the fall, will have a rental area of 7,700 sq. meters, and the final construction works are currently underway.
“We are pleased with the growing ranks of tenants who appreciate the location and advanced solutions of our business center. It is very nice that Aušrimas chose “Jasinskio2″ for its new concept restaurant, because together we will create value not only for businesses, but also for Vilnius residents and city guests,” says Giedrius Brūzgė, Director of the Property Management Department at EIKA Development.
The new business center on Jokūbo Jasinskio Street was designed by SP Architektų grupė with accompanying architect Saulius Pamerneckis. The building at the foot of Tauras Hill will uniquely blend into the cityscape and symbolize the return of an important section of the capital to business.
The construction of the new Jasinskio2 spaces complies with the international sustainable building standard BREEAM, therefore the business center will be equipped with advanced irrigation, ventilation, heating and lighting systems that will ensure the highest quality for office employees and visitors.
