EIKA Construction successfully passed the qualification stage of the infrastructure development tender organized by the German military (Bundeswehr) and submitted a final offer. The company is the only general contracting company of the Lithuanian capital that has reached this stage of the tender.
EIKA Construction is participating in part of the German military infrastructure development tender, which aims to expand the capabilities of the German military and create new accommodation for conscripts. The total value of the tender is 3.5 billion. euros.
The purchase covers seven German regions, where around 335 buildings are planned to be built over the next four years. The tender is divided into 14 parts, and one contractor can be selected for no more than three of them. EIKA Construction submitted bids in 2 out of 7 regions and completed the submission of the final bid at the end of May.
According to Almantas Čebanauskas, CEO of EIKA Construction, the opportunity to participate in a tender of this scale is a significant assessment of the company’s competences on an international scale.
“Participation in this competition confirms that our team’s accumulated experience in implementing complex and large-scale projects meets high international requirements. This is an important step in strengthening the company’s position outside Lithuania and expanding operations in foreign markets,” says A. Čebanauskas.
When preparing the proposal, the company’s experience in implementing large-scale infrastructure projects in Lithuania was relied upon. During the competition, not only the offered price is evaluated, but also the project implementation plan submitted by the contractor, the management of deadlines and the ability to ensure efficient organization of work.
The winners of the competition are expected to be announced at the end of June. In case of success, EIKA Construction plans to gather both international and Lithuanian partners for the implementation of the project.
