Construction of a new swimming pool complex at the “Eglės Sanatorium” has begun in Druskininkai

Construction of a new outdoor and indoor swimming pool complex at the Eglės Sanatorija in Druskininkai has begun. The project was launched with a symbolic capsule burial ceremony, marking an important milestone in the development of the entire sanatorium. EIKA Development is responsible for the construction management of this complex and the entire reconstruction project of the Eglės Sanatorija.

The total area of the new complex will reach 1,625 sq. meters. A therapeutic pool will be installed in the interior spaces, as well as the first 10 cubic meter white mud pool in the Baltic country, a jacuzzi and saunas are planned.

The outdoor areas will feature a heated swimming pool with a capacity of approximately 150 cubic meters, a heated terrace and a jacuzzi. The water temperature in the outdoor pool will be maintained at 32–34 degrees, so it can be used regardless of the season.

The construction of the swimming pool complex is planned to be completed in the first quarter of 2027.

EIKA Development acts as a construction management partner in this project, working together with the general contractor and client.

The project team coordinates the work of different contractors, technical solutions and the project schedule, aiming to ensure a smooth construction process and minimal impact on the sanatorium’s operations. Great attention is paid to the planning of the works, as the works are carried out in stages and must be coordinated with the visitor season.

The sanatorium is currently undergoing intensive reconstruction work: a new reception building is being built, the canteen building is being renovated, and the residential buildings “Žilvinas 1” and “Žilvinas 2” are being renovated, which will house 247 modern rooms that meet the four-star comfort standard.

After the entire project is implemented, the capacity of medical rehabilitation services and sanatorium treatment procedures at “Eglės Sanatorium” will increase by 30 percent, and the range of treatment services will be expanded.
