EIKA Group: whether we will continue cooperation with Midsummer Vilnius will depend on their shareholder structure and team composition

EIKA Group has been the main sponsor of the Midsummer Vilnius festival for nine consecutive years. This long-term patronage has always been our conscious commitment to contribute to the nurturing of the cultural life of the city of Vilnius. We believe that culture is an essential part of the city’s identity, freedom and vitality.

We are proud of our contribution to the Midsummer Vilnius festival, which has become an important and significant part of Lithuanian cultural life over the years. However, in recent days, information about the festival organizer Valdas Petreikis and his family that has appeared in the public domain has unpleasantly surprised us and raised serious questions. This information was unknown to us throughout the years of cooperation with the festival.

At present, the 2026 support agreement has not yet been signed. We are responsibly monitoring the situation, clarifying the circumstances and only then will we make a decision on further partnership. EIKA Group does not want its name, directly or indirectly, to be associated with situations of this nature.

We know that after Valdas Petreikis’ departure, the festival organizers are planning changes. Our further cooperation will depend on the shareholder structure and team composition.

If a new organizer of the capital’s art and music festival with an impeccable reputation emerges, EIKA Group would remain the patron of this event.

When making decisions about patronage, we are always guided by the principle that culture is not just entertainment – it is an investment in the emotional well-being, awareness and open dialogue of society. We supported the idea of the festival and the value it creates for society, and these principles remain fundamental in our decisions.
