Students are invited to participate in a competition and present what kind of Vilnius they would like to see in the future.

Vilnius city students in grades 9–12 and gymnasiums in grades 1–4 still have the opportunity to participate in the competition “Give Vilnius a Vision” and propose their ideas for the capital of the future. The competition, the first stage of which runs until January 31, is organized by EIKA Group, one of the largest real estate project development and management companies, in cooperation with Vilnius City Municipality..

The competition aims to engage students in a discussion about the development of the city and spark their thoughts about what Vilnius could be like in a few decades.

Participants are invited to create a video of up to 2 minutes in length “Vilnius 2050: Our Vision, Our City”, in which they would reveal how they imagine the capital city in the future. Students can also submit a text version of the vision – up to one A4 page, to which a presentation can also be added.

Contest participants can submit their projects individually, as classes or groups of students.

The students’ works will be evaluated by an authoritative expert committee consisting of representatives from business, education, media, and the city.

The first stage of the competition runs until January 31 (inclusive). In March and April, the authors of the 25 best visions will be invited to meetings and discussions at their schools, and a public award ceremony for the competition winners will be held in mid-May.

The prize fund of the competition is 8 thousand euros. The first place winners will receive 4,000 euros, the second place winners will receive 3,000 euros, and the third place winners will receive 1,000 euros. Other prizes and gifts are also planned for the students.
