Real estate development company EIKA states that the real estate market continues to show a trend of growth – in July of this year, compared to last year, as many as 44 percent more new apartments were sold in Vilnius and 13 percent more than in June of this year, ovThe optimism of developers is also reflected in the new apartment offers that continue to fill the market.
According to EIKA, in July, the Vilnius market was added to by 201 apartments in new construction projects.
Comparing the first seven months of the year with 2023, apartment sales in Vilnius grew by 14.5 percent: during this period in 2024, 1,592 new apartments were sold in Vilnius, compared to 1,390 during the same period last year.
Considering only July, this year’s apartment sales in Vilnius increased by 44 percent compared to last year: in 2024, 244 apartments were sold in Vilnius, compared to 170 in July 2023. Compared to June of this year, when 216 apartments were sold in Vilnius, the growth was 13 percent.
Economy-class apartments remain the most popular among buyers – their sales continue to soar. In July 2024, 115 apartments of this class were sold in Vilnius, compared to 62 in July 2023, i.e. sales increased by 85 percent. In June 2024, 106 economy-class apartments were sold in Vilnius.
In the middle class, apartment sales in July 2024 were the same as in June – 106 apartments were sold in both months. Compared to the previous year, the growth was 18 percent – 90 middle class apartments were sold in July 2023.
July 2024 was a successful month for sellers of the prestigious apartment class – 23 apartments of this class were sold, compared to 4 in June. Growth is also visible compared to last year. In July 2023, 18 prestigious apartment units were sold, so the growth in this class reached 28 percent..
“The year has moved into the second half, so now we can confidently say that the higher buyer activity observed since its beginning was not a coincidence, which is evidenced by the persistent growth in the number of buyers in the housing market.
