Domas Dargis: without culture, the city would be faceless

The EIKA group of companies has been the main sponsor of the Midsummer Vilnius festival for the eighth consecutive year. This continued patronage is the company’s commitment to contributing to the development of the culture of the city of Vilnius. According to the head of the group of companies, Domas Dargis, culture is an essential element of the city’s identity and freedom.

“Without the energy of art, cities would become cold and boring. That is why we support culture, because it helps create a lively, dynamic and creative environment in which people want to live and work. Culture is not just entertainment – it is an investment in the emotional well-being and awareness of society. We are proud of our contribution to the “Midsummer Vilnius” festival, which has already become an integral part of our cultural life,” shares Domas Dargis, the leader of the “EIKA” group.

According to D. Dargys, culture is an integral part of his own life: “I really like theater, music and live music concerts. We like to attend events with our family, walk around the Old Town and enjoy city life. The “Midsummer Vilnius” festival has already become a symbol of Vilnius’ summer culture, and “EIKA” with its long-standing patronage helps the festival grow and strengthen.”

“Midsummer Vilnius” organizer Valdas Petreikis is also happy about the long-term partnership with the “EIKA” group. “On Monday, the ninth performing arts festival “Midsummer Vilnius” began in Vilnius, this year we invite you to ten unique evenings under the open sky in the Great Courtyard of the Royal Palace. All performances at the festival are exceptional, the kind that can only be experienced once. Whether it be international music stars, a theater performance, or electronic music with an orchestra, what you see and hear will remain in your memory for a really long time,” says V. Petreikis.

The Midsummer Vilnius festival will delight Vilnius residents and city guests from July 15-25 in the Great Courtyard of the Royal Palace.
