In Pašilaičiai, Medeinos g. 30, on a plot of almost 8.4 thousand sq. m, it is planned to build four five-story apartment buildings. The building permit has been received 2024 03 04.
By order of UAB “Linkmenų būstas”, a company belonging to the “EIKA” group, four five-story apartment buildings were designed on a private plot, which are planned to house 138 apartments, underground and above-ground parking lots, administrative, catering or retail premises. According to the project, the environment in the inner courtyard will also be improved: a children’s playground, a recreation area for residents will be installed, paths will be laid and greenery will be planted, which will occupy 35 percent. of the territory. The accesses to the nearby tennis courts will also be landscaped.
Meetings were organized with residents to discuss the project solutions, after which some of the solutions were adjusted taking into account their comments. Part of the project territory has been left for common use: a public space, recreation and active leisure areas will be established, the territory will be extensively greened, and the pedestrian connection from Medeinos St. to the territory of A. Puškinas Gymnasium will be preserved.
By consulting with arborists, negotiating with builders, and changing design solutions (e.g., changing the track surface structures), 105 trees will be saved on the site, 21 of which will be transplanted. There are currently 161 trees growing on the site.
Due to poor condition and design decisions, 48 protected and 29 non-protected trees will have to be removed. As compensation, 36 trees and shrubbery will be planted on the plot, and outside the plot boundary, on Medeinas, Gabijas, and Justiniškės streets, 69 trees and about 3,300 sq. m. of shrubs will be planted.
Grounds for removal of vegetation: 2024-04-12 permit to cut down, otherwise remove from the place of growth, or intensively prune protected vegetation No. A320-32/24(2.3.1.20E-MAS).
