The international brand Hilton Garden Inn hotel located in the center of the capital city has received a BREEAM In Use Excellent rating

The Hilton Garden Inn Vilnius City Centre hotel, located on Gedimino Avenue, in the Live Square complex, has been awarded the international BREEAM In Use sustainability certificate, receiving an “Excellent” rating on the rating scale.

The BREEAM In-Use (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) certificate indicates that a building that has already been built and is in use meets the highest environmental and sustainability standards. The assessment of a building examines 9 categories: management, energy, health and wellbeing, transport, water, materials, pollution, waste, ecology and land use.

“Having decided to achieve such a high rating, we reviewed all areas to be changed and selected those in which we could significantly improve the hotel and conference center solutions: we improved the building’s engineering systems and newly installed automatic water and refrigerant leak detection systems, measured the lighting of the main rooms and adjusted the solutions, installed C02 sensors, reduced water consumption, and balanced the operation of the equipment. In addition, we installed measures that create ecological well-being in the territory – insect houses and bird nests,” shares Julius Trepkevičius, head of administration of the Live Square complex.

Live Square is an Eika complex that opened in 2019 and is an organic combination of offices, a hotel, shops and residential buildings. It is home to the first four-star Hilton Garden Inn Vilnius City Centre hotel in Lithuania, which is open to Lithuanian and foreign guests.

According to Hilton’s SALT 2021 and SALT YTD 2022 ratings, the hotel located in the Live Square complex ranked first in the world among 940 Hilton Garden Inn hotels in terms of hotel service level, cleanliness, and helpfulness in welcoming guests.
