“Eikos statyba” completed the construction of a new IKI store and office in Pilaitė

On August 31,  Pilaitės pr. 42, the newest IKI store in Lithuania opened its doors, which also introduced a new format café,,IKI bistro”. The company’s administration staff will also move into the new office on the floors above it in early September. Investments in the three-story, 5,850 sq. m. building amount to 10 million euros.

The construction work of the new administration building was started by the general contractor UAB “Eikos statyba” in July 2021. The work was completed on time and lasted a total of 13 months. “Each project has its own challenges and uniqueness. This one was interesting with its architectural and interior solutions, I am glad that there is a lot of greenery in the project. The structure of the store’s roof is also exceptional, unlike the roofs of other stores, it consists of 18-meter-span gable reinforced concrete beams, not a profiled steel deck,” says A. Čebanauskas, the head of “Eikos statyba”.

The building meets the requirements of the A++ energy class, the project pays much attention to green spaces – the existing trees on the site are preserved, new ones are planted, hedges and other greenery are formed. A parking lot with 179 spaces has been installed. The object has been submitted for BREEAM international sustainability certification.
