The final touches of the “Eika namai Pilaitė” quarter – a 47-apartment apartment building and a store

The last residential building is being built and a food store is being designed in the apartment complex “EIKA namai Pilaitė” on Karaliaučiaus St., managed by the company EIKA..

“After the sale of the last phase of apartments is completed, 385 families will settle in our block, for whom we see the need to provide the best possible living conditions. During the development of the block, taking into account the interests of customers and the city, we have repeatedly reviewed urban solutions. We have installed a square where people can walk, read a book or have a picnic not far from home. Currently, residents of the block can enjoy perhaps the largest enclosed square in Pilaitė, which consists of as much as 35 ares. A private 200 sq. m kindergarten “Kiškių Pilaitė” has been established in one of the houses, where the youngest residents of the block can play and engage in educational activities surrounded by friends and supervised by teachers, and their parents do not need to worry about taking their children to or from kindergarten. We have installed an intersection next to the block, arranged sidewalks and made bicycle paths so that those who want to spend their free time more actively can leave or reach their homes without problems. “We see a need to build a store next to the residential buildings so that the residents of the block can conveniently stock up on everyday goods and not waste time in large shopping centers. The store is designed to ensure all construction and operation regulations and hygiene requirements, without worsening the quality of life for existing residents, but only improving it,” says M. Žibūda, Development Director of Eika.

When considering various development options for the quarter, it was decided to build a 1-story food and daily goods store, which will consist of 1424 sq. m. Construction is scheduled to begin in January 2021, and the store will open in December. Shop visitors will be able to park their cars in the nearby 2-level parking lot, where 60 spaces will be allocated. While maintaining security and settlement closure solutions, the remaining spaces, which will belong to the residents of the quarter, will be accessed through a separate entrance from the inner courtyard of the quarter.

The “N7” house is being built on Tvankstos Street. In the six-story apartment building, buyers will be able to choose from compact and functionally designed 1-4-room apartments with balconies or terraces, the areas of which will range from 32 to 74 m². The house will have a total of 47 apartments. The apartment building is planned to be built in 2021. Q1.

EIKA began developing the “EIKA Houses in Pilaitė” settlement in 2017. In order to ensure perimeter development, three 9-storey houses were designed along the actively passing Karaliaučiaus St. in the first stage of the project development, and 6 storeys in the second stage, along the quieter Tvankstos St. The aim is that the volumes of the buildings in the block would blend into the environment and form a closed, quiet space in the inner courtyard for the block’s residents to relax after a busy working day. During the last stage of construction, it was decided to offer two more 6-storey houses to the market, which added 90 apartments to the housing supply. Investments in all three stages will amount to approximately 30 million euros. The end of the block’s construction is in the fourth quarter of 2021.
