A new concept Rimi store has opened in the Live Square complex.

A Rimi store has opened in Vilnius, in the multifunctional complex “Live Square”, developed by UAB “Eika”, – the first store of the new concept “Rimi Express” format in the capital.

The new Rimi store, located at the intersection of Gedimino Avenue and V. Kudirko Street, is designed for active Vilnius residents and city guests who value fast and convenient shopping the most. “The retail market is extremely dynamic, evolving with changing shopping habits and adapting to their lifestyles. This store was also designed with our customers’ needs in mind, in order to offer them more convenience and an even better shopping experience,” said Giedrius Bandzevičius, CEO of Rimi Lietuva.

As shown by a public survey conducted in August, as many as 83 percent of Lithuanian residents consider it important that the assortment of healthier products be increased in stores. The new Rimi also reflects these trends, offering a wide selection of salads and healthier snacks to take away, as well as products marked with the Rimi “Choose Healthier” label. This label marks healthier food products selected according to numerous criteria and the “Keyhole” principles, without GMOs, hydrogenated fats, with less salt and sugar, but with more fiber.

Shoppers in a hurry will also find sandwiches, sushi, rolls, delicious coffee prepared on site, and other food and drinks for takeaway. For the convenience of shoppers, the store has self-service checkouts, which are also being cited by more and more shoppers as one of the important aspects when choosing a store for shopping.

In order to ensure the safety of Rimi employees and customers, the store is equipped with a defibrillator – a life-saving device for emergency assistance. The store is adapted for employees and customers with disabilities. In addition, environmentally friendly solutions and technologies were used when equipping the store: modern freon refrigeration systems were installed, which reduce CO2 emissions, LED lighting was used, and occupancy sensors were installed in all interior spaces – the lights automatically turn off when people leave.

Investments in the new Rimi amount to 350 thousand euros. This is the 58th store in the Rimi chain and the second new store opened this year. In June 2019, Rimi opened another Express format store in Druskininkai. Currently, Rimi continues to successfully carry out intensive expansion of the retail network, during which it is planned to double the number of Rimi stores to 100 stores throughout Lithuania by the end of 2023.

In a survey conducted by the Shopper Quality Group, the Rimi retail chain was recognized this year as the retail chain that best serves customers in Lithuania.
