The supply of new apartments in one of the most popular districts of the capital, Pilaitė, is steadily growing. In early October, the real estate and development company “Eika” will begin construction of the fourth apartment building in the project “Eika namai Pilaitė”. The future 43-apartment building will also house a private kindergarten with up to 30 places. It should open its doors next year, on September 1, 2019.
“In Pilaitė, as in the whole of Vilnius, the problem of preschool educational institutions is extremely acute. Unfortunately, there is not enough space in kindergartens for hundreds of children. As one of the main developers in Pilaitė, we aim to contribute to the creation of a better environment in this cozy and family-friendly district, therefore we are very happy to partner with “Kiškių pilaitė” in solving this problem,” says Martynas Žibūda, Development Director of “Eika”.
It is planned that the 200 sq. m kindergarten “Kiškių pilaitė” will have 4 groups, consisting of children from 1 to 7 years old. Parents will also be able to leave their child for one or several hours. The educational institution will also have a children’s speech therapist and psychologist’s office, a spacious terrace will be installed, as well as an outdoor classroom under a roof, where various educational and cognitive activities will take place, and a school for parents and children will operate on weekends.
“The kindergarten will apply a modern education system focused on the needs of the child. Groups will be divided not only according to the age of the children, but also according to their interests. For example, if a child is calm and likes personal exploration, he will have the opportunity to explore in a cognitive group, where sensory cognition, a library, role-playing, logical thinking and other creative spaces will await him. And if a child is restless in place, he will be able to choose an active group, where cognition is taught through safe movement,” says Inga Sadauskienė, director of “Kiškių pilaitė”.
Buyers of “Eika” apartments in this block will have priority access to the kindergarten and a 10 percent discount.
Instead of an apartment building – community square
The construction of the new 6-storey apartment building with a kindergarten will be crowned by a square in the inner courtyard of the block. It will consist of recreation areas with seating and green vegetation, walking paths, a children’s playground, and a running track is also planned. 85 thousand euros have been invested in the construction of the 37-acre square. This will be the first square of this size in Pilaitė.
According to M. Žibūda, the original project was improved based on the residents’ wishes – the area designated for the apartment building was adapted to the needs of the community.
“We always try to find a dialogue with the community and assess the situation in a constantly changing city. This time, it was planned to build 11 apartment buildings, but 10 will be built. This is to leave more space for people to relax, do sports, and socialize in the fresh air,” says M. Žibūda.
In the fourth building of the project “Eika namai Pilaitė”, buyers can already reserve 1-4-room apartments with spacious terraces or balconies. Construction of the fifth apartment building will begin at the beginning of next year, and the entire project will be completed by 2023. “Eika”‘s investments in this project have already exceeded 13 million euros, and a total of almost 30 million euros are promised.
In the third quarter of 2018, 387 apartments were purchased in Pilaitė, i.e. the most of all districts of the capital. Currently, the supply of new apartments in the aforementioned district reaches 600.
