In 2019, the space “Live Square”, a project of the real estate developer “Eika”, will begin to “operate” at the intersection of Gedimino Avenue and V. Kudirkos Street. VŽ met with Doms Dargis, the company’s CEO, in the territory of the future space, where construction site preparation has begun.
It has been said many times how inhospitable the part of Vilnius’ Gediminas Avenue from Lukiškės Square to the Seimas is for business. It is indeed inhospitable, but you won’t find anything interesting in that section: it is not the Old Town with its cute nooks and crannies, but a row of former and current ministries and legislative chambers.
You can find such bureaucratic places in every country’s major cities, as well as attempts to establish businesses there with more humane spaces. One of the latest Lithuanian attempts is the space “Live Square”, a project of UAB “Eika”.
