On January 19 of this year, the Bank of Lithuania organized the fourth annual Real Estate Conference, which was attended by representatives of the Bank of Lithuania, real estate market participants, banks, and academic society.
The conference reviewed the current state of the real estate market, the latest trends and potential risks. Experts drew attention to the sustainability of the current situation in the real estate market, analyzed whether there are similarities to the 2008 bubble burst and what are the differences from today’s situation.
The conference featured presentations by Eika CEO Domas Dargis, who shared insights into the 2008 real estate bubble and lessons learned on the topic “Lessons from the 2008 real estate bubble and what we are doing differently now”, and Eika Development Director Martynas Žibūda presented a presentation on the topic “Trends and risks of investing in residential real estate”.
