2016 was a record year for Eika – the company sold 431 new apartments in Vilnius. Compared to 2015, the company’s sales of new apartments increased by 12%.
“At the beginning of the year, it was hesitant to think about higher sales than in 2015, but expectations were exceeded. Last year, as in previous years, the most popular was the Eika project in Pilaitė, where 169 new apartments were sold, and the Domino Namai project in Jeruzalė sold 65 apartments. Third place went to the company’s new project on Žalgirio St., where 48 apartments were sold last year,” says Domas Dargis, CEO of Eika.
In total, in 2016, the Eika group of companies added 350 new apartments to its offer. Last year, the Santariškių namai settlement, which has been successfully developed for ten years and has become a home for more than 1,200 residents, was completed. Projects in Naujamiestis and Šnipiškės were also completed, and only a few vacant apartments remain in the currently managed prestigious projects Basanavičiaus 9A and Tilto-12. In the coming years, Eika will transfer the good experience of Santariškių namai to a new low-rise housing settlement Bajorų alėjos and continue the construction of a settlement of seven A energy class houses in Žirmūnai, on Tuskulėnų street, thus at least two new multi-apartment housing settlements will be formed in Vilnius.
“2016 was a successful year for us not only with record sales of Eika in the primary housing market. We managed to diversify our activities and implement our experience in other segments of the real estate market: a shopping center was built in Visoriai and a business center “135”, Žalgirio St. was successfully completed,” says Domas Dargis, director of Eika.
This year, Eika plans to start construction of the largest project in its history on Gedimino Avenue. Investments in it will amount to about 45 million euros. The multifunctional complex will consist of a Hilton hotel, a business center, a shopping gallery, cafes, restaurants, a luxury apartment building and an open public space. It is expected that this multifunctional complex will become a new center of attraction for city residents and guests and will increase the attendance of Gedimino Avenue and Lukiškės Square.
