Exclusive project in the Old Town “Basanavičiaus 9A” recognized as suitable for use

The company “Eika” announces the successful completion of its managed project “Basanavičiaus 9A” in the Old Town of the capital: the state commission has recognized it as suitable for use. The composition of three buildings near Reformatų Square, designed by architects from the studio led by National Prize winner Rolandas Palekas, harmoniously blends in with the ancient buildings of the historic Basanavičiaus Street.

According to the architect Rolandas Palekas, who designed the building, Vilnius Old Town is an architecturally sensitive space, so the task was set to create a project that would be in harmony not only with the nearby buildings, but also with the Reformation Park. Special attention was paid to the formation of spaces between the buildings, because they create additional value and connect with the environment. The modernly adapted format of the villas, single-volume buildings that merge with the Basanavičiaus Street side with a light nano-plaster facade, and dark wood was chosen for the facade of the building next to the park – thanks to all these solutions, the aesthetics and stylistics of the Old Town were maintained.

“Another important goal of the project is to provide residents with the highest level of comfort,” says M. Žibūda. “Modern technologies were used for this: a spacious two-story underground parking lot with two car elevators was installed, underfloor heating was installed to ensure lower costs, and a mechanical ventilation system with heat recovery, which constantly supplies the living space with fresh air and prevents moisture from accumulating in the house. Smart DANFOSS heating control via WiFi connection is also provided, and an electromagnetic descaling device is installed, which descales hard water and protects pipelines and other devices from limescale deposits and corrosion,” says the representative of “Eika”.

Of the 60 luxury 1-4-room apartments installed in the project, only a few are left vacant. Currently, the real estate company “Eika” also manages a prestigious project on Tilto Street and projects in Šnipiškės, Naujamiestis, Žirmūnai, Jeruzalė, Pilaitė, Santariškės and Bajorai.
