In Vilnius, after demolishing the former bakery on Tuskulėnų Street, the company “Eika” is starting the construction of a new apartment complex “Namų pynės”. Over the planned five years of project development, more than 400 families will settle there, and the total investment in this project will amount to over 24 million euros..

The first settlers will open the doors of “Namų pyniai” next summer. It is planned that by 2021, seven economical A energy class apartment buildings will be built on the site.

According to Martynas Žibūda, the development director of Eika, the main idea of the settlement is associated with the old bakery that has been operating at the project site for 130 years. “Bread has united families around a common table since ancient times. Therefore, when creating a new settlement, we will weave in details that speak of bread, growth and home comfort,” says the Eika representative. “We also chose the colors of the building facades not by chance – they symbolize the bread cycle, they are the natural colors of bread and earth and their shades,” says M. Žibūda.

According to the representative of “Eika”, only some of the residents in the project will park their cars in the above-ground parking lot. For convenience, the remaining spaces are planned to be located under the settlement. In this way, the residents of the “Namų pynės” project will be able to enjoy a green inner courtyard without cars, breathe cleaner air, and children will be able to play safely in the yard.

The 1.3-hectare former closed industrial area will open to the city and become an integral part of Žirmūnai. Construction work will be carried out in 4 stages. First, the construction of two nine-story houses will begin, which will add 138 apartments to the housing supply. In the first stage of the project “Namų pynės”, 1- to 4-room apartments with balconies and terraces are designed. Two children’s playgrounds and green areas are planned between the houses, and for the safety of residents, the project territory is planned to be fenced.

Currently, the company “Eika” is developing projects in Bajorai, Šnipiškės, Jeruzalė, Santariškės, Pilaitė, Naujamiestis and Senamiestis.
