The real estate company “Eika” has started construction of a new shopping center IKI in the Visoriai neighborhood of Vilnius. The new shopping center is planned to open its doors in the first quarter of 2017. The total area of the shopping center is 2,500 square meters..

“We are pleased that this is the third IKI store being built by the real estate company “Eika”. In 2007, the IKIUKO store was opened in the Santariškės microdistrict, later construction in the “Pupa” shopping center in Pilaitė followed, and currently the store’s construction work is underway in Visoriai,” says Giedrius Brūzgė, Director of the Asset Management Department of the real estate company “Eika”.

The largest area of the shopping center, almost 2,000 square meters, will be occupied by the IKI retail chain store. Specialized stores will be located in smaller areas ranging from 10 to 200 square meters. The shopping center will also house a pharmacy, a flower shop, and a cafe. A parking lot with up to 80 parking spaces has been designed next to the new shopping center.

“The new IKI shopping center is being built in a new residential neighborhood that is rapidly expanding, so we noticed that the existing IKI store no longer met the expectations of customers. We wanted to offer local residents a new, much more spacious IKI store that meets the shopping needs of customers, can offer a wider range and more convenient everyday shopping. The new IKI store will be equipped with a modern design, will be equipped with the latest sales equipment, and customers will be able to choose from a wide range of products. We paid particular attention to the fresh fruit and vegetable department, which is most appreciated by customers,” says Berta Čaikauskaitė, head of public relations at UAB “Palink”, which manages the IKI retail chain.

It is planned that the total investment of the Eika group and the IKI network in the new shopping center will reach 3.7 million euros.
