“Eika” begins construction of a new apartment building in Pilaitė

“Eika” continues to actively build houses in Pilaitė and begins construction of another nine-story building, which will house 71 new apartments. The construction of the house is planned to be completed in the summer of 2013.. A multi-storey car park with 520 spaces is also being built next to the newly built apartment buildings.  This year, Eika plans to invest almost 10 million litas in Pilaitė.

 

This year, Eika built 113 apartments in two apartment buildings in Pilaitė, where 70 percent of the apartments have already been sold. Eika Development Director Domas Dargis estimates that the most popular apartments in these apartment buildings were 3-room apartments, of which 90 percent have been sold. “There was also great interest in 1-room apartments – studios. Students, young specialists and investors who bought these apartments for rent chose studios,” says D. Dargis.

 

The nine-story building under construction features comfortable one-, two- and three-room apartments. The project will also offer buyers furnished apartments with kitchen furniture and household appliances. “We have noticed that more and more customers are interested in purchasing fully furnished apartments. Customers no longer need to organize finishing work, order stoves and refrigerators – they just need to bring their belongings and start living in their new home,” emphasizes D. Dargis, emphasizing the advantages of furnished apartments.

 

Next to Pilaitė Avenue, Eika is also building a multi-storey car park where Pilaitė settlers will park their cars. It is planned to build a five-storey building in two stages, which will accommodate as many as 520 cars. Investments in this construction will amount to 7.5 million litas.

 

“Eika”, which began development in Pilaitė in 2007, has already built 9 apartment buildings and the shopping center “Pupa”. 550 new residents have settled in these houses. By 2015, it is planned to build 5 more apartment buildings, which will house more than 250 new apartments and a shopping center.
