Even greater opportunities to take advantage of state support for purchasing housing


On October 8, 2008, new requirements adopted by the Government of the Republic of Lithuania regarding obtaining state-supported housing loans came into force.

On 8 October 2008, new requirements adopted by the Government of the Republic of Lithuania regarding the receipt of state-supported housing loans came into force. Persons (families) whose net annual income and assets for one year before the year of granting the support are less than:
 
in the case of an individual (without family) – 27,500 litas of income (before the amendment – 25,000) and 40,300 litas of assets (before the amendment – 31,000),
net annual income of a family of two or three people – 38,500 litas (before the change – 35,000) and assets – 81,900 litas (before the change – 63,000),
net annual income of a family of four and five people – 46,200 litas (before the change – 42,000) and assets – 109,200 litas (before the change – 84,000),
For families of six or more people, the net annual income per person is 7,920 litas (before the change – 7,200) and assets are 26,000 litas (before the change – 20,000).
 
The amounts of state-supported housing loans have also been increased. They are now as follows:
 
* 180 thousand litas or equivalent in another currency – for a person without a family (before the change – 120,000);
* 300 thousand litas or equivalent in another currency – for a family of two or more people (before the change – 240,000);
* 120 thousand litas or equivalent in another currency – for housing reconstruction (before replacement – 120,000).
 
If you insure your state-supported housing loan with UAB “Būsto paskolų draudimas”, the housing loan insurance premium will cost you half as much, i.e. 50% of the insurance premium will be paid for you by state funds.
