Shopping and service centre “Žali”

The Žali shopping and service center was designed using universal design principles and sustainable building solutions. The building is distinguished by green facades and a vegetated roof, and the engineering solutions include geothermal heating, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and bicycle repair stations. The site features rest and play areas that contribute to the functional use of public spaces.

A detailed BIM model was prepared for design and construction process management and used to coordinate architectural, engineering, and operational solutions. Construction works were carried out in accordance with the principles of the BREEAM standard, and the building meets energy efficiency class A. During the general contracting phase, all construction processes were coordinated, ensuring control and quality of the implementation of technical solutions through the use of digital construction site management tools.
